World Heart Rhythm Day 2008 (13th June)
Organisations and individuals from across the globe help raise awareness of heart rhythm disorders and sudden cardiac death
Arrhythmia Alliance, in partnership with the International Cardiac Pacing & Electrophysiology Society, is pleased to announce that the forthcoming Arrhythmia Awareness Week 2008 will be held from 9th-15th June, with World Heart Rhythm Awareness Day falling on 13th June.
~ Sudden cardiac arrest is the number 1 killer in the UK, USA and Europe ~
~ Heart rhythm disorders are often misunderstood and under-diagnosed, yet are often simple to treat ~
We hope that you will join us and lend your name to this international awareness day to promote:
- Greater awareness of the signs and symptoms of heart rhythm disorders, including loss of consciousness & sudden death
- Improved quality of life for those living with cardiac arrhythmias
- Placement of Automated External Defibrillators in public places
- Rapid and accurate diagnosis of heart rhythm disorders
- Access to effective treatment
- Education programmes
